Do I need a driving license to ride a dune buggy?
No driving license is required. All our buggies are automatic transmission and designed to be beginner-friendly. Our certified guides provide a complete safety briefing and driving lesson before every ride. You must be at least 16 years old to drive. Passengers can be younger when accompanied by an adult driver.
What safety measures do you have in place?
Safety is our top priority. Every buggy is equipped with a full roll cage, five-point safety harness, and fire extinguisher. We provide helmets, goggles, and gloves free of charge. Our vehicles undergo daily mechanical inspections, and a professional guide rides alongside your group throughout the entire tour. We are fully licensed by Dubai Tourism (DTCM) and carry comprehensive insurance.
What should I wear for a desert buggy tour?
Wear comfortable, breathable clothing and closed-toe shoes — sneakers or boots work perfectly. Avoid sandals, flip-flops, or loose-fitting garments that could get caught. We provide all safety gear. Sunglasses are recommended for daytime rides, and we suggest applying sunscreen before arrival.
Is hotel pickup and drop-off included in the price?
Yes — complimentary shared pickup and drop-off is included with all packages. We collect guests from any hotel, Airbnb, apartment, or cruise terminal in Dubai. For guests in Sharjah, pickup is also available. A private VIP transfer is available as an upgrade for AED 300 (accommodates up to 6 guests).
What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
We offer free cancellation or rescheduling up to 24 hours before your scheduled tour. For changes within 24 hours of departure, a 50% fee applies. Weather-related cancellations are rescheduled at no cost. We recommend booking early and adjusting later if needed.
Are your tours suitable for children?
Children aged 6 and above are welcome as passengers in our 4-seater buggies when accompanied by an adult driver. The minimum age to drive a buggy is 16 years with a valid ID. Our fenced-area quad bike experience is especially popular with families as it provides a controlled, safe environment.
What is the best time of day for a desert buggy ride?
Each time slot offers a unique experience. Morning tours (6:00-9:00 AM) have the coolest temperatures and stunning sunrise light. Afternoon tours (2:00-5:00 PM) feature golden-hour lighting perfect for photography. Night tours (after sunset) provide a completely different adventure under the stars with LED-illuminated dunes. We recommend morning or evening for first-timers.
Can I combine multiple activities in one booking?
Absolutely. Our combo packages let you mix and match dune buggy rides with quad biking, desert safaris, or hot air balloon experiences — all at discounted rates. How fast do the buggies go?
Our Polaris RZR buggies can reach speeds up to 120 km/h, while the Can-Am Maverick X3 is even more powerful with its 200HP turbocharged engine. However, your guide will adjust the pace to match your comfort and experience level. First-time riders typically cruise at a fun, manageable speed while experienced riders can push closer to the limits under guide supervision.
